Rome As You Feel - Design Apartment at Colosseum

  : We arrived early and were fast through the airport, so we arrived almost an hour earlier than we had arranged. But the host met us on our arrival, which was kind.The location is brilliant. Every day when we left the apartment we had a view of the Colosseum at the end of the street - bellissima! There are a couple of good little supermarkets on Via Cavour, and a morning market at the top of Via dell’Agnello. It was easy to keep stocked up on delicious fresh Italian produce.The apartment is beautifully furnished, decorated by someone who has a good eye (things I would never think to put together but which look great).We didn’t bring umbrellas as no rain was forecast - and then it rained. Fortunately there were some in the corner of the living room. Nice thought.The apartment is well insulated, cool older building, so we didn’t need to use the air conditioning much.All of the equipment we needed to clean the apartment was provided (except for a vacuum cleaner, but that would be asking a lot). Which was helpful when some plaster fell from the ceiling!
  : We were attracted by the COVID-clean claim. However, there was leftover coffee and vinegar from previous guests (the sort of thing I often leave behind in the hope that it will help the next guest, but which is inappropriate in these times).Although the listing said that cleaning products are provided, none were. And when I asked for them, none arrived. So I didn’t mention the other niggles...The hairdryer is the worst I have ever used. It overheated at least 4 times every day I dried my hair - which is quite fine and a short-medium length.There was no water pressure in the second bathroom, so it was impossible to shower in there. Fortunately we are one family and can manage with one bathroom, but if we had been travelling with friends it would have been difficult.
